having a hard time with my decision... could all you kind people give me some opinions including thoughts on ruggedness, accuaracy (just COSC not good enough) and cost of routine maintenance??? i would be grateful!! mdk

I guess I would vote for the Rolex

Can be fixed by many people but very unlikely to need it. It's definitely a good rugged, reliable watch. On the other hand, the JLC could be more interesting and less common. Mike

In terms of coherence, the Rolex, since it has a second hand.

What the MC Diving GMT doesn't have. It has a working indicator, the rectangular window above 6, but which cannot compete, imo, with a seocnd hand. The two watches are very different, in size ( the JLC is much bigger ), in material ( the JLC case is in ti... 

I'd go JLC--I prefer not to wear what everyone else wears

Ruggedness: probably a wash. The JLC has 700 more meters of WR, but you'll probably never use it. Both cases and movements are among the most rugged you'll find, easily exceeding what you need. Accuracy: definitely a wash. The JLC 97x caliber has more tha...
