The quest for the perfect strap

Oct 02, 2010,05:07 AM

for the Polaris, is a never ending story.
But I think I am as close to perfection as possible, at least for  the winter.
For water activities, I have succesfully tried the Bond RAF, the tropic and the Kodiak.

@Graham: the shell cordovan nato is indeed a fantastic strap, for looks AND comfort. Thanks for your guidance
@Nicolas: you lead the way for all the polaristi. THANK YOU for all the feedback
@Matt:Thanks a lot. I LOVE your watches.By the way, Great thread you got there going

I have a plain brown cordovan strap on my Breguet La Tradition, you can sorta see it in the picture (sorry about the odd pic, not surprisingly all my Tradition pics are of the head, the movement is so fantastic as to overshadow the strap at all times) A...

. . . he just happened to have one that fit the Seiko 5 to a "T". Coincidentally, it's the very same one you saw on his vintage Connie a few months ago. Not only is it super comfy, but the newly visible scalloped section between the lugs adds a touch of c...

And makes the watch wear larger on the wrist.

Interesting combination, Art. As a latent strapaholic we obviously need to keep you way away from Panerai! Andrew

Great combo, Art... Now, I have to match your suggestion ...

 By: amanico : September 29th, 2010-09:00
With a friendly combo... A great strap, offered to me by a very good friend, for one of my beloved Chrono. A Black Cordovan with red stitching for my ardur Chrono. Will have to find the pic in my HD, but will post it. Best, Nicolas

This works for me.

Superb watch, and from what I see, the Leather Nato is the best combo.

 By: amanico : October 2nd, 2010-02:14
Nolt that the other straps are uninteresting ( except the original one, which can really, or should have really, be improved... But the Leather Nato is, to me, the best choice for this marvel. Best, Nicolas

Mack, is the cordovan Nato...
