 By: amanico : June 6th, 2015-06:07
Vintage Jaeger Lecoultre ( Jaeger / Lecoultre / Jaeger Lecoultre ) diving watches are not that many. Indeed, there are 11 or 12 watches, and among them, only 7 or 8 different references, as you had several versions in the same reference ( Deep Sea Alarm /...

JLC heaven with this article. Totally captivating! Best, Tim

That is a very, very tough call but after really looking

 By: timerider : June 8th, 2015-13:10
and knowing these beauties, I would have to go with the DSA Europe. The simplicity, lack of date and bezel balance, that is mind soothingly elegant. I don't want to get into too many superlatives but this watch appeals to me like music or fine art. It is ...

You have impeccable taste.

 By: amanico : June 8th, 2015-13:52
I prefer the DSAs to the Polaris, even if I have a strong feeling for the Polaris 65. But the DSA Europe is really exciting. Fantastic Watch! Best, Nicolas

Fantastic post! One for the archives!

No wonder vintage JLC diving watches are rare. They were all limited production runs and discontinued after only 1-3 years. I'm guessing they weren't big sellers for JLC at the time (like the Rolex Daytona in the 70s and 80s)?

A 'milestone' review!

 By: crown comfort : June 6th, 2015-13:07
already bookmarked. That's what I love, learning, learning...learning. Ah yes and beautiful watches! Congrats on the 100k Milestone. I think we all cannot understand how this is achievable.

Thank you, CC. They were worth a review, don't you think?

 By: amanico : June 8th, 2015-09:55
The only thing was to gather all the informations I found, year after year, in one thread. It may help those who want to build a collection. I am also working on a more general article about vintage divers, from different brands, those who counted in the ...

That's a post to save ...

Congrats on 100K, and bigger congrats on building that evil tower Nico!! So many great paths to go with JLC!

When it comes to Vintage JLC, I have some strong themes:

 By: amanico : June 9th, 2015-11:58
Diving watches, of course, but also Military and Chronometers. Some others are interesting, such as the Futurematic, or some Chronographs. The Reversos are top, too, as well as some Memovoxes, other than the Diving ones. The Mystery / Galaxy, too, and the...

What I like about your posts is

By: COUNT DE MONET : June 8th, 2015-13:54
that they often give me an incentive to read also outside this forum, search the web about movements and watches you are talking about. The same I did in your 100K post about JLC diving watches and I must say that a Polaris 1968 is quite a cool watch (but...

Well, Moritz, each of them is quite special.

 By: amanico : June 10th, 2015-00:13
But the two extra terrestrians are certainly the Jaeger Diving, and the Lecoultre 100 ATM. Thanks for your feedback, and yes, the Polaris 68 is a really cool Watch even with the date. ;) Best, Nicolas

Thank you Nico for sharing with us this extensive research...

Fantastic compendium of history and facts about JLC diving watches. I look forward in the Manufacture going deeper into this field (no pun intended ;). As for you and your contribution to Purists, I will let the late Gustavo Ceratti say it for me…. Gracia...

There might be one or two other references, especially among the Lecoultre.

Still have to dig a bit more into this theme. Thanks for your kind words, Hermano. Un abrazo. Nicolas
