This is the best advice about buying a watch* I’ve read. *applies to other purchase decisions!

No more frivolous buying! This goes double for myself! I need to remember to follow this rule. And I need to remind myself it's okay to not have everything!

Life is short, why not enjoy the little things that brings us some joy? Money will be useless in the afterworld anyway. If life grants you choices you are indeed lucky. Many in this world have no choices or options. Best wishes to all for the new year!

It’s a goal of many of us I think to get to that point. I’ve thought about it a lot myself. Where I come out at this point is a variation on this goal. That is, to have 4-5 wearable everyday watches. What that means is that I’m acknowledging some watches ... 

It is tough to reduce the watches you have when they all feel like "keepers". I am at that point. But with a few I want to add, I'll need to decide the outbound pieces. I appreciate your reply!

Those of us that have choices are indeed fortunate. When I was 7 I would have chose the green color bike. Now I’d choose the blue color bike! This is not much different than watches; My preferences have most certainly changed over time . Enjoy

Completely understand, and the first analogy that came to mind are the streaming services. During VHS and even pre-internet, books (even magazines) and videos had a special quality about them. You really immersed yourself in it, and truly enjoyed the expe... 

…it was food/restaurants. When there is some much choice, as there is in big cities, sometimes that choice can become paralyzing. And yes, even after making a choice one can often regret not choosing the other place ! This is true across all levels of din...

My mind took away Speedy, I need to read more carefully. Nevertheless 217 Seamasters also seems incredible to me.

I think (or I’m assuming) that some may not be readily available, but I didn’t look beyond them having listed prices. It’s mind blowing really. The other way to look at it is if one can’t find a Speedy or Seamaster they like with this breath of choice the...
