Help with Longines Greenlander

Aug 15, 2011,19:46 PM

Dear friends, I hope someone here would be able to help to uncover a bit more of Longines Greenlander history - this watch is family treasure of one of my best friends - it was traveling with Polish Army officer during WWII and finaly made it to Poland.

So far there is not much trouble for us to decript Polish and English documents related to this watch but Italian hand writen note so far is untranslated so if any one could it would be really appreciated

here is the picture fo the note

Many thanks in advance

Intriguing history you hint at. You may know the excellent article produced on the WWW watches a few years ago. If not feel free to PM me and I'll send you some links. Be nice to read the whole story when you're done.
