JLC SIHH 2011 presentation in Kuala Lumpur

Feb 24, 2011,18:03 PM

Last night, the local gang in Kuala Lumpur attended the 2011 SIHH presentation at the JLC boutique in Starhill KL. My thanks to JLC and Reena Tan (Business Development and Marketing Director of JLC Malaysia) for the kind invites to allow us to view some of the prototypes of the pieces to come in this year.

While awaiting the start of the event, I spotted this curious and beautiful Atmos clock in the boutique.

Wondering if anyone has more info on it?

Before the unveiling...

Reena addressing the crowd; presentation of promo video and announcing the pieces.

Guests trying on the upcoming arrivals.

JLC "Branded" bite sized tiramisu

Museum pieces from 1931 on display.

2011 newcomers...

We all loved the simplicity and elegance...

Thanks for looking!

Timeless This watch looks simple and pleasing to the eye. Images courtesy of Jaeger LeCoultre Some might say is too simple. Without much to look into. I beg the differ. A timesless watch might gives the impression that after wearing two week there isn't m...

I have the feeling we are many in this situation. I hope next year will be less exciting. Best, Nicolas

I would love to be round and square.

JLC told me on Fri last week that they will be sent to KL later that day. They also informed me yesterday that the Wg Duometre QL will be making a trip there and asked if I want to have another look before they packed it up. Best, Goh

Apparently that didn't happen.

MUT moon in stainless steel? That's a great "real" photograph, btw. It gave me a sense of how it might look like in person and it seems more goodlooking in ss versus gold... which is a good thing And is that guy, Ming? The one in white trying on the Tribu...

I love the moonphase...

It is so elegant, timeless and simply beautiful. The dial has a different looking finish vs the gold version of course... so the 'glow' feels different altogether. And yes that's Ming

This is a couple of photos I took back in 2005. If I remember correctly, JLC made a series of Atmos with this kind of “Asian” motifs. Not sure but I think every clock has a unique motif – no one look a like Looks like K-L had a great event! Thank you for ...

Oh thanks...
