Awards won by Jaeger-LeCoultre
Since 1833 with Antoine LeCoultre, MJLC has won manyimportant awards. Antoine himself won many gold medals as you can see on the board of medals shown here:
The first prize which he was rewarded during the first universal exhibition in London in 1851 honoured his work :
- Exceptional quality and finish of his watchmaking components
- Interchangeability of the parts (ultimate goal of all watchmakers in the 19th century)
- Winding lever system
Furthermore, the Manufacture won the first prize for the 100 aniversary of the observatory in Neuch?tel thanks to its new calibre 170 tourbillon. (see photo)

This Jaeger-LeCoultre calibre won prizes at the observatory timing competition from 1948 to 1954.
