AmVox 1R - how many remember this early AmVox Limited Edition?

 By: ThomasM : February 28th, 2015-11:39
JLC's cooperation with Aston-Martin has resulted in some interesting model lines. The 1R was the second, if I remember correctly, AmVox model. In British Racing Green and Speed Yellow, the dial layout was inspired by the dial design of the DB Aston models...

I do! :)

My dream at that time was the black PL version of the AMVOX I-R! Super cool watch + alarm! Thank you for sharing these shots, Thomas! :) Best Blomman

Your wish is my pleasure to present

Joe ...

Very nice, Joe! let's see a full pick of the AMG! I'm a big fan...

and of course, this being PuristSPro, what\'s a racing inspired watch without a race car? ...

Here you go

That is an awesome watch! :) Best Blomman

Joe already added...

I really like the crisp Yellow accent against the black! And the pattern on the alarm disk is another bonus on this version! :) Best Blomman

Idem, I remember it very well. I hesitated between this one and the Titanium non R.

 By: amanico : February 28th, 2015-12:00
I finally went for the titanium case + ruthenium dial Limited to 1 000 pièces. Actually, there was another and very limited Amvox One. This one. The R is two millimeters bigger, compared to the " normal " one. It is much more racing. If you have an Aston,...

Hmmmhh..Sounds tempting but first have to save for planned projects., ;)

..Dr Mamadu has to wait a little bit; hopefully not too long but as I am still on special diet.. .. That nice 6542 is waiting, in any case (and maybe one of the 2015 novelties ?) But Thx kindly, very much appreciated ! Warmest regards for this Sunday !! h...

For sure that I remember ...

Had one offered years back but the green dial was, at that time, a bit out of my taste. Now, if one shows up ... I grab it with two hands. Cheers, Nilo

Remembered Fondly: A Great Miami Watch

 By: Tim_M : February 28th, 2015-13:15
Hi Thomas, Thanks for brightening the day with this colorful gem. While it's raining today in Miami, I still feel as though this is the clear-cut Amvox for my subtropical corner of the world! Down on the beach, the green/yellow tandem would feel consonant...

I do, I do!

 By: respo : February 28th, 2015-13:26
And I think I may still hunt one some day. I never forget this one with the green dial. Great to see it again, Thomas. Thank you for the reminder. Best, respo

I've got a photo of this titanium AmVox

 By: cazalea : February 28th, 2015-20:16
I tried it on during my first trip to JLC, which the photo meta-data says was on 14 June 2005. I have wished several times that I'd bought one back then, but it seemed a bit large at the time. Mike ...

Let the trashing begin

 By: Ares501 - Mr Green : March 1st, 2015-06:34
but this is still my very favorite AmVox Sincerely D

Not the Amvox II? [nt]

 By: amanico : March 1st, 2015-06:41

Definitely not....

 By: Ares501 - Mr Green : March 1st, 2015-06:43
AmVox II is cool but this "poisonous" green yellow combo is top for me Yours D

:) but maybe...

 By: Ares501 - Mr Green : March 1st, 2015-09:40
AmVox 8 will be red & white ;)

NO trashing from me, Damjan, and it seems many in this thread...

 By: ThomasM : March 2nd, 2015-07:55
glad to read it is so fondly remembered. Cheers, TM

It's still a pretty cool piece.. Although the "Kermit"- design with yellow may not be everybody's taste..

 By: hs111 : March 1st, 2015-06:37
For my humble part, I really like it, somehow. Although, if I may say so, I\'ve always liked the Titanium: Ruthenium version best. Sadly I missed it back then. Thx for the nice share, Thomas & HAGWE ! hs

Thanks, HS, it's funny how a weekend slips by so quickly...

 By: ThomasM : March 2nd, 2015-07:48
but at least this weekend I was reminded of time by a wrist alarm...for no other reason than to hear it! :-) Cheers, TM

I'd forgotten about that

 By: jml_watches : March 1st, 2015-11:42
Hi I'd forgotten about that to be honest - though don't know why. Stunning watch - green dial looks ace, really love the green strap too - is that what it came with originally? Cheers JML

Hi, JML, the colors may be unusual for a wristwatch but for me...

 By: ThomasM : March 2nd, 2015-07:50
it was never an issue. Maybe I've been hanging around skittles colored Lambos for too long... :-) I do wonder about strap availability, though, if I ever need to replace straps. Cheers, TM

This is my favorite, by far!

 By: watchme : March 2nd, 2015-07:07
I would have loved a green strap with matching yellow stitching. For some reason, the alarm on this one resonated the best (I tried all of them): the volume, purity, etc, was just awesome. I'd still like one. -Dean

Favorite, huh? interesting...

 By: ThomasM : March 2nd, 2015-07:53
Hi, Dean, I'm surprised how fondly this variant is remembered by so many. It didn't sell that well when current - many NOS available many years afterwards - and of course the colors can be immediately offputting to most. But I'm glad the "mental patina" h...

...."mental patina" has worn well over the years!

 By: Ares501 - Mr Green : March 2nd, 2015-07:59
:) :) I'll used this from now on very frequently Superb expression usable not only in world of horology :) Sincerely D
