February 2015. Ask for the program!

Jan 31, 2015,00:53 AM

This month, we'll have an eye on some of this year novelties, such as the Rendez Vous Line, and the Men's collection.

If you want to know more about some specific watches, let me know...

I would also like to show you a vintage piece which is historically very important, for the fans we are as well as for the Heritage Gallery which just bought it.

Polls and discussions will also be at the menu of this month.

A very busy month, it seems!

Best,

Nicolas

Nico, Forgive my ignorance, but it will be educational for me and others if you can do a post explaining all editions, from the first to the last. Merci, Nilo

Here you are...

Pics have gone, not the text nor the explanations.

Sounds like February will be a great month here in the JLC forum! :)

I would like to know as much as possible on all of them! :) Best Blomman

You and your legendary greediness. ;) But I am pretty sure you will fall on your chair..

When you see the vintage surprise I have to share! Yes, yes! Best, Nicolas

OK, show me!

I have now a mattress under my chair! ;) Best Blomman

For me...

I'd like to see a more in-depth article on the Duetto Classique Automatic, as I see this (as well as last year's men's Day/Night and this year's Boutique piece) as a forerunner of the 85th Anniversary, when Daniel Riedo said that "The Reverso will undergo...

Yes, that is true that the Reverso will undergo some big changes.

 By: amanico : January 31st, 2015-06:15
You know everything! ;) We'll discuss that one, Dean, no worries. I think it is one of the very inreresting novelties of this year. Best, Nicolas

Only hope it's an evolutionary change.. A re-interpretation ? -- Not sure if we want that

 By: hs111 : January 31st, 2015-07:53
.. But you are right, - Let's see what's round the corner & what will be rattling in the boxes !... Enough to explore, also to partially uncharted land (?!) Best, hs

Reverso 'Big Changes'...

 By: cory : January 31st, 2015-10:31
So intrigued as to how and what big changes can undergo the reverso?! Do we think evolution on case design? What would we like to see? .... exciting times for all of us ;)

Evolution or Revolution?

 By: cory : January 31st, 2015-11:06
Hopefully something big and innovative.... I would like to see something quite different. ;)

Answer?

 By: cory : February 3rd, 2015-13:49
It would be nice to get a little bit on an idea of what we could expect with the new creative direction and thinking around the REVERSO collection coming in 2016. That way we can prepare ourselves... especially if it is 'Radical'!

Pay attention to the official JLC website, you already have some answers.

 By: amanico : February 3rd, 2015-14:12
But you didn't see them... Focus on the present, my friend! Best Nicolas

JLC Website... answers?

 By: cory : February 3rd, 2015-14:22
Are you able to provide me with a link please?

Look at the novelties. [nt]

 By: amanico : February 3rd, 2015-22:07

Daniel did use the word 'Radical' change....

 By: cory : February 1st, 2015-14:55
So I would expect this could be a departure from the more traditional Reverso into a more progressive / innovative design of the Reverso case and movement. ...

I LOVE...

the Jaeger-LeCoultre Reverso Grande Complication a Triptyque Watch... just a technical marvel. Could play and steer at it all day! JLC are truely amazing.

This beauty did Debut in 2006...

2016 will be 10 years later, so it could be time for some new welcomed complicated love :)

Seconde Centrale

 By: sfoskett : February 3rd, 2015-14:34
Perhaps the 1931 Seconde Centrale is a clue to the future... It uses automatic calibre 966 with central sweep seconds in a larger case. I wonder if this is what the future holds for the Reverso: A larger case, no more "old fashioned" sub seconds, etc. Aft...

Thanks...

 By: cory : February 3rd, 2015-14:38
I would suspect a focus on the moon phase in a larger innovative case... but who knows.

It's not what I would claim to be 'Radical' though...

 By: cory : February 3rd, 2015-14:43
Im suspecting something quite different in 2016 for the Reverso.

Not bad, not bad... [nt]

 By: amanico : February 3rd, 2015-22:43

Im laughing... such a tease!

 By: cory : February 3rd, 2015-22:53
Seriously though, I do believe what we will see as new innovative Reverso and it will shock us in a good way... well those who welcome change ... im ready I think. ;)

Ok, I surrender. For 2106, the Hybris Mechanica 12 will be a Reverso.

 By: amanico : February 3rd, 2015-23:14
And a pretty crazy one. Based on a Swiss Cuckoo Clok. Each hour, the little bird will go out of its nest.... And strike the hours. But ssshhhh, I didn't tell you nothing. Best, Nicolas

I knew it would be crazy... and I knew I would

 By: cory : February 3rd, 2015-23:24
get it out of you... JLC again exceed all my expectations in the fields of complex and innovative movements. I for one cannot wait for this crazy bird... time better fly! ;)

Geophysic models

 By: sfoskett : January 31st, 2015-11:47
I hear from multiple sources, including two boutique employees, that the Geophysic limited editions are the start of a new line for Jaeger-LeCoultre of Geophysic watches. Was there any discussion of this? I believe Jaeger-LeCoultre brass have also spoken ...

The same one

 By: sfoskett : January 31st, 2015-12:03
Who told me the Geophysic was coming in the first place! Then I heard the same thing from anothe JLC boutique manager as he was trying to sell me his last Geophysic. He claimed JLC has manufactured more steel Geophysic watches in recent months and may hav...

Well this is a relief

 By: sfoskett : January 31st, 2015-12:27
since it would be an insult to buyers of the TT to offer the same watch in unlimited numbers. Perhaps he was mistaken and JLC is simply finishing up the 800 and not producing new ones.

No, they didn't. The misunderstanding lies in the fact that...

 By: amanico : January 31st, 2015-12:56
A LE of 800 pièces requires two or three production years, generally. Best, Nicolas
