SIHH Jaeger Lecoultre 2015: New Master Control Black!
Jan 28, 2015,00:01 AM
The 2012 Master Control, in both steel and rose gold versions:
The Cal 899:
For those who want to learn more about the Master Control, here is the link on the review I wrote and put on line in 2012:
You won't be disoriented, here, as the " new " Master Control only has, or should I say, enjoys, a new dial. A black one.
A black dial, and a white date on black, which is a nice detail for those who are not fans of the date, as it is more discrete, this way.
Let's remind that the date on the 2012 steel and rose gold versions are black on white.
Just a different dial, and a big change... The Master Control Black has a cool and powerful look, now. While the 2012 version was more understated.
The case is 39 mm big, and 8, 5 mm thick. Just like on the 2012 version.
Now, to tell you the truth, I find that the Master Case is starting to become a bit outdated. I am more and more convinced that JLC should use the MUT 39 or 40 mm case for the new Masters...
About the movement, the Cal 899, it has been submitted to the Master 1000 Hours Control specidications, which means that the tolerance is between - 1 to + 6 seconds per day.
Ok, let's now see some real pictures I could take at the Manufacture and at the SIHH.
And one picture of the see through case back:
Looking forward to read your comments and thoughts,
Best.
Nicolas
