Today picture: Jaeger Lecoutre Memovox E 855 Black Dial.

The good side of the things is that when quite a lot of your watches are gone for a well deserved service, you rediscover some true beauties, such as this E 855.

This E 855 is somehow a small Polaris 65, or, if you prefer, the Polaris 65 is a big Memovox Black. wink

I would go even farther, the E 855 Black is more refined than its big diving brother, due to its reduced size, 37 mm, which is far from being small.

The deep black glossy dial is a true delicacy, and these round luminous ( tritium ) dots are giving the touch of life, as well as the gilt writings.

A marvel, an icon, an iconic marvel.  wink

Best,

Nicolas

If am not misinformed, the Polaris dial and the E 855 dial is interchangable. When you think of it, is not strange since they share the same movement... Best, my friend Blomman

No, I don't think so, te E 855 dial seems smaller, and is different too.

But the spirit is very close.

I think the dial itself is the same dimention on both...

Beautiful. Gorgeous. Nonpariel. Ah, if only JLC would release a Tribute to THAT watch! Or dare we hope that perhaps your post is a teaser in advance of 2015 SIHH, Nico? ;-) And further hope that they would remedy the unfortunate white date window in a re-...

That would be great to have a no date black dial Memovox.

I mean one more than the manual winding we had 15 years ago, with its delicious 36 mm case. A tad bigger, to not take too many risks with the market. 38 / 39 mm would be perfect for me. And no date, please.... Aaah, we already had this kind of Watch, with...

Seeing this Black Lady.. Always feast for the eyes.. In fact, mine..

It makes it a different watch! I really have to start looking for this watch and a blue/white Speedbeat. Best, Joe
