The good side of the things is that when quite a lot of your watches are gone for a well deserved service, you rediscover some true beauties, such as this E 855. This E 855 is somehow a small Polaris 65, or, if you prefer, the Polaris 65 is a big Memovox ...  

If am not misinformed, the Polaris dial and the E 855 dial is interchangable. When you think of it, is not strange since they share the same movement... Best, my friend Blomman

Beautiful. Gorgeous. Nonpariel. Ah, if only JLC would release a Tribute to THAT watch! Or dare we hope that perhaps your post is a teaser in advance of 2015 SIHH, Nico? ;-) And further hope that they would remedy the unfortunate white date window in a re-... 

I mean one more than the manual winding we had 15 years ago, with its delicious 36 mm case. A tad bigger, to not take too many risks with the market. 38 / 39 mm would be perfect for me. And no date, please.... Aaah, we already had this kind of Watch, with...
