Not a big birthday tomorrow....but one to celebrate...all the same

And there is no watch I would prefer for this than this perpetual calendar ... a gift from my wife about a decade ago......

It has recently been back to JLC for a complete overhaul and brand new dial. It looks new now....

I am not normally a moon phase type of guy, but just recently I have been finding myself looking more and more at this function...a pure aesthetic function in my opinion ... and of absolutely no use to me in any way.... other than aesthetically..... but actually, that is quite a valuable function!!

Sorry...this is an old scan....will post an up-to-date one over the weekend.

Beautiful JLC QP! I think in some ways this older version you have looks more classical than my MUT perpetual. Looking forward to more pics :) Cheers Robin

I think the sentimental "value" is more important than technical characteristics, etc. It's a precious watch. Constantin

Beautiful perpetual calendar... I love this old model more than the newest because the two digit year indication let me feel something "more perpetual" : no need of service for update the centuries indication! I love it so much... Best, massi

it's a beauty...

The reason I like a moon phase is the connection with nature... I live in a rather large city where there is a tendency to focus on the man-made aspects of daily life... not looking up from the day-to-day... the moon phase is a reminder to search the heav...
