Friday Wear theme: Unexpected watches.

Interesting theme, this week: Unexpected watches.

Found or gifted, it would be interesting to see how you got them.

Hunting a Watch is one thing which escapes from the " unexpected " category. Indeed, that means that the Watch(es) in question is ( are ) a long quest.

But there are some great watches you just discovered, or watches you didn't expect to receive.

This week, I didn't mention my Polaris 65, or TT Polaris 65, as they were gifted to me after my unhappy experience. Heartwarming, but those who well know me know the story.

The Breguet Type XX Pt Salmon dial was totally unexpected, in that sense that:

- I didn't know this Watch existed ( it was just released a few months before I got it ).

- I could never imagine I would find it in a small Sicilian Town.

95% of my watches are not unexpected watches, though.

I would be curious to see which JLC Watch you found in an unexpected way.

Best,

Nicolas

Feel free to answer here, if it is a JLC Watch, or there ( whatever is the brand ).

It shows you

You told me only vaguely what happened to you in Paris. A really unfortunate incident. Whoever gave you those two watches- it shows there are still people from another 'era' who do things that 99% of the people on this planet would not even think of doing...

I had no idea this watch existed. I was looking at round ultra thins. But once I saw it, it was the one I wanted. And it may have been the last one in the states. ...
