Sunday pictures: Jaeger Lecoultre Reverso Tourbillon Skeleton.

Each time I go to the Manufacture, which is an average of two or three times a year, I ask to see, again and again, this Watch you have almost no chances to see elsewhere.

Indeed, the Reverso Tourbillon Skeleton has been produced in a limited edition of 35 pièces, in 2004, and I had the immense privilege to see three of them in the flesh, included this one which belongs to the JLC Heritage Gallery.

The curious thing is that I am not very fan of Tourbillons, and only a vey few of them attract me, such as the Reverso Platinum Nr 2, this skeleton version, the Gyro One, the Ulysse Nardin Royal Blue Tourbillon, and, of course the Girard Perregaux Tourbillons with gold bridges.

Then, I started to understand that I didn't like the Tourbillons which make a " hole " in the dial, while I love Tourbillons which are part of the dial, an important part of the dial.

If you take all the examples I mentionned, they all perfectly integrated the tourbillon in the overall look of the dial, OR the Tourbillons os on the verso side.

This Skeleton Tourbillon is still very modern, depsite its ten years, don't you think?

Moreover, it is a sublime object, precious, artistic.

Here are the three fresh pictures I took in December 2013:

This is one of these rare watches which belong to my Dream List. But I am a Lucky guy, as I can wear it each time I go to the Manufacture. So I can live my dream, twice or three times a year...

Best,

Nicolas

as usual! on a secondary note, how is legibility to read the time?

Remember, with this kind of watch, you don't read time, you admire it.

;) As for the more pragmatic of us, if thier eyes are not tired, they won't have any problem to read the time. Best, Nicolas

humbly say, I'm not a fan of " look-through skeletonized".. - But this Pt one IS different, to a substantial degree : you so rightly have called it integration - I almost think it's then amalgamted part of a different species, with another twist by this w...
