A Complete Coincidence

Jul 10, 2014,13:45 PM

I offered to take my wife to a wine tasting dinner last night. She was running out the door to a meeting and agreed we'd meet up later at the bistro.

Menu looks good

The proprietor describes the wines for us - all relatively obscure or "blending" varietals

We get through the salad

and we are working on the Crab Risotto Fritter before I think to look at what watch she has chosen...

Look at that - with no collaboration between us at all.

We struggle to finish the 18-hr roasted pork and corn meal mush (I mean polenta)

We get some reds under our belts and tackle the shells filled with spicy chicken and lamb and smothered in truffle cream

We nibble at our chocolate brittle and flip over our Reversos to indicate the end of a nice meal.

How romantic, eh?

The End

I have always wanted to own a Reverso simply for flipping over the watch when time is not of relevance and it is all about enjoying the moment. Your dinner last night is a perfect example of that. Thanks for sharing with us, Mike. Bottoms up, Alex

Very Nice :-)

Great post cazalea! Great minds think alike! Glad you had a good time of wine and food and of course, your lovely wife's company that night. The Reversos look great on both of you . Indeed a good couple watch Cheers Robin

If I may ask, which watch is your wife's? JLC has some great

unisex and femme reversos, but I must admit I'm unfamiliar with most. And how were the lamb shells?

Of a show called "Black's Books". When asked his mother's maiden name (a standard verification question) the main character replied, "I don't even know her first name! We just called her 'Ma'" I don't know what models these are. In both cases, I bought th...

Both great watches! I see reversos on men only occasionally,

but I've never seen them on women, although I think they can really work. The "Ma" story reminds me of something I heard a man say this at his father's funeral: "I don't know if he ever learned our names, he just always said "Hey you!". The only one he ev...
