Love at first sight with a Reverso

Hi all,

At the London GTG in late May, the Assistants at the Jaeger- LeCoultre Boutique introduced me to two lovely eye catching pieces. Firstly, the Reverso Squadra Lady Duetto. As I tried it on, the diamonds glistered so bright, I could not take it off my wrist!

Then later on, I tried on a Steel Grande Reverso Lady Ultra Thin with a red leather strap. I have officially experienced love at first sight (when it comes to time pieces). See the pictures belowJ that were kindly taken by Simon on the day.

The Steel Grande Reverso Ultra Thin is particularly appealing, as I don’t see the need to have two watch faces. The minimalist watch face means that I change the straps regularly without having to consider what colour will be best suited, as any colour will go. I could even change the straps every season, red for autumn, orange for summer time etc. Also the size of the face perfectly fits my wrist, it’s a match made in heavenJ I’m unsure what I would engrave on the reverse, or whether I should leave it blank, although, I can think about that at a later date.

Fellow Purists, I wish to purchase a brand new Steel Grande Ultra Thin. Having briefly spoken to watch collectors, some have informed that a discount off the recommended retail price is available depending on where I purchase this timepiece. I’m conscious that I do not break forum rules by discussing prices. However please could you recommend where I should purchase this Reverso or should I stick to buying the Reverso from the boutique? Also what are the pro’s and con’s of buying from the boutique or a dealer besides for the obvious; price.

Many thanks,

Nav

Personally, I prefer the TT 1931, and the red dial is a jewel. But it is just my personal preference, and I would certainly not say that I don't like it. Buying from a Boutique has an inconvenient: You won't have a price. But you will have a strong connec...

Thanks:-)

Thanks guys! I’m still on the hunt for the Reverso. I haven't had a chance to research it properly, work seems to be taking over my life! :-( It’s the first time I’m buying a watch for myself, and spending this much money a timepiece so I want to make sur...

The REverso Red is available at the JLC Boutiques, only.

So you could contact them, and you will surely get one. The question is when, but it is worth the wait. As for the strap, I feel a black croc is the surest choice. With or without stitching, it is up to you, as well as, why not, a calf strap... Best, Nico...
