Vintage JLC
Dec 01, 2011,07:30 AM
The fact that the auction went well for the vintage JLC does not surprise me at all.
JLC is one of the oldest manufacturers with an exceptionally rich history and I think Brands with a
rich history will always attract buyers as they become better educated. Also let us not forget JLC
was a complete manufacturer long before others (I only need to mention Panerai or Hublot )
I see all JLC from the 1930s especially Reverso getting stronger more valuable
I see the Iconic diving watches especially DSA and Polaris getting more valuable
I see also the Atmos orginals from the 1930's getting more valuable
The reason is simple, they are rare, they are orginal and they are better looking than anything modern!
Here is my most recent aquisition from the Antiquorum auction in Geneva in May (I just received it this morning)
after my watch was accidentally sent to NY).
A beautiful Reverso from 1937. Enjoy and thank you Nicolas for the great analysis and post.
