Born in 2000, the Gran Sport family saw the arrival of the Gran Sport Chronograph and the Gran Sport ( for men ). The Gran Sport: The Gran Sport Chronograph ( Credit picture, Antiquorum ) There was also a Gran Sport Duo ( picture found on the net, I don't...

Beautiful watch Nicolas! I love the verso face, and

I've never seen the brick motif before. I do have a question: does JLC currently produce any women's reversos that are mechanical? I've seen some beautiful lady reversos, but they've all been quartz.

I remember them all as I was just becoming interested in watches a few years earlier.

An old friend of mine has the chronograph version. I think he still has it. Maybe the Squadra is, in some ways, the replacement of the Gran Sport models? Ruckdee

Well, I don't have the same enthusiasm for the Squadra, in total honesty.

The volume of the case doesn't speak too much to me, I have to confess, while the Gransport is really appealing, even if some will find it a tad too small. See you soon, my friend. Nicolas

I cannot agree more

to what you said about the Gran'Sport lady which is my wife's favourite watch. The duo if used as a second time zone is also great for busy female executives who need to do business travelling. ...

You know my thoughts on the Gran Sport line....

Love it! :) Only regret is that I didn't add the retro chrono while I was at it! Thank you for a great post! Best Blomman

Great Reminder of a bit Cinderella watch

Hi Really nice watch, with an interesting complication. There's also the fact that it's in steel which I also see as a positive. It's good to have a reminder of not only the Reverso Gran Sport Lady, but the whole Gran Sport range. They were around for too...

To me, the Chronograph is the king of the category, JML.

While the Reverso Gransport Lady is the queen. ;) We'll discuss the Chrono quite soon, as it is a very interesting Watch which deserves more attention! Best, Nicolas.

I've always liked that tic-tac .. for my wife.. but somehow ..

..it did not materialize, and being reluctant , given the short production cycle, was sort of being too late.. And then, she decided for a Reverso classic, ss & PG, and that fits her so well, that she stayed w JLC, Vintage tic-tacs, And all I can tell, th...

of the Duetto Duo. I waited (in vain) to see a regular Reverso Duo for men with the caliber 851, because it had a date, but, alas, JLC has never opted for it, yet. -Dean

Hi Dean, Thank you so much for the write-up on the Gran Sport Lady. I bought mine in 2004 after lots of research and help from folks here at the Purists. The 2 sides, 2 time zones, really allow two different worlds. The duality provides so much flexibilit...

Thanks for your owner's feedback, Diana.

Yes, this is a very versatile Watch, for sure. And even more with the rubber strap. I asked my wife to try the bracelet and the rubber, for her to be sure... It didn't last too belong for her to give a strong answer, in favour of the rubber. I must say th...

Do you know when JLC first introduced the "1000 hours control mark"

 By: Ivan Idea : April 3rd, 2017-05:49
Nicolas, I've been hunting down this watch and the examples I've found do not have this mark. In this day and age when anything can be faked, I'm concerned about getting the genuine article.

The Gran Sport Lady is submitted to the 1000 Hours Control.

the Men's Reverso Gran' Sport Duo was the only regular Duo with a date. We had to wait until the DuoDate to see one, and the Gran' Sport version executed it beautifully. I was waiting for the case to be made slightly larger to accommodate it in a traditio...
