This is my review of the Jaeger-LeCoultre Geophysic 1958 in platinum. As there are already very comprehensive review in this forum ( for example this www.watchprosite.com ) I will not bore you with the historical details and -- as for most of my reviews -...  

Congratulations on the watch - an excellent choice in my opinion. And thanks for your personal impressions Sadly entered the game just a bit too late for this one...

And that it will be a trusted and pleasant companion for many years to come My local boutique, for instance did not have any anymore, so know that they are becoming very hard to find...

watches e.g. omega snoopy and some others but somehow I feel that if I can't find a watch is not meant to be. Always good to enjoy watches without getting obsessed by special editions

Another one I missed and regret not having known about sooner... Hope it gets on the secondary market at more normal prices soon. At the moment, with prices a factor two to over three over the original cost, I can sadly just observe and lust after it

This one is indeed exclusive and discreet...I tried but it doesn't speak to me, but I'm sure it's got its virtues that only owners will know and appreciate. I have yet to own any platinum pieces and still looking....2016 SIHH certainly is interesting with... 

not taken the watch immediately. It can look a bit plain or may be too understated sometimes so indeed not for everyone. I love your snoopy and I wish I could find one but all sold out and now are at x2 or x4 the original price -- somehow the missing snoo... 

Omega's limited edition are always too many but then, Snoopy's price point is so attractive that prospective owners will snatch them and keep them, different strategy. You have a good problem to have, what to wear...I'm already neglecting some watches tha... 

and is very good to set a limit or an exit strategy I also feel bad sometimes but some watches always come back in the rotation but I want to be careful with new acquisitions. This was an exception (don't we all say that because of the limitation and my b...

love this understated pieces ...and of course these recommended in the forum By total coincidence I was thinking if I should get it or not and there was a photo with this watch on the forum so it was a bit of a sign

These are great watches. I never saw the Platinum so I am especially glad you've gotten it and posted on it. Congratulations.

good looking watch with an interesting dial texture, just the use of platinum doesn't makes sense for me...

I also think that it was a great idea to offer three different version, steel, rose gold and platinum to gather to different tastes and to create at least one boutique edition

One question though: why do JLC not offer it with a folding clasp? They really make a difference in my eyes! Thanks again for sharing! Best, Etienne

in some cases I found the folding clasp to be very uncomfortable (in many watches this is the case for me) so happy they didn't go with one in this model! I also think that they wanted to be faithful to the first 1958 edition which was without folding cla...

of the SS version -- as you can imagine this was the first one to get sold out lot of interest in the steel

Like hs I took the quick and easy way and picked the SS. Although I've been pondering about the Pt. for months. They must be all gone by now. Enjoy yours - one of the lucky 58! cheers fernando ...  

the platinum as it has a very different feeling and a slightly different look. All are gorgeous thou -- I like the new geophysic true second line too.
