I came across this JL watch on ebay, under the title 'vintage 1950's Jaeger le Coultre World Time automatic'. It is some sort of mixture between a polaris and memovox world timer. The description says it has an automatic movement and has a mechanical alar...

that was my assumption too. it sells for a buy it now price of 4600 eur :)
