I had the chance to cross the way of these 2 Black Beauties, today, at the JLC Boutique... So, I took a series of pictures, but for the moment, just one which means a lot. On the Left, the Duometre à Chronographe, in White Gold. On the right, the Duometre...

I am in my Duometre period, currently.
By: amanico : May 21st, 2011-01:13
I took several pictures to prepare one or two topics about them. It just takes time, and if I have a moment, will try to take other pics of the Q.L only. There is indeed a lot to say about these Duos! Thanks for your nice words, Christian. Best, Nicolas.
Ohhh.. One more time .. I will hold my breath .. :)

.. I consider myself, (un)fortunately. Since seen this Dark Mysterious Lady, - well and also in addition the Chrono in black, - Yes, it's song can be very tempting, definitely for me, BUT for the moment .. - Peu de Patience .. - Absolutely agree, my Lord,...
I was just going to say something along those lines...

There's no shortage of movement decoration here, and these 2 pieces (I am told a particular expert) exceed ANYTHING PP or Lange have out....but you would know better Nicolas. It's these pieces that I hope JLC will keep as slow-release, continually adverti...
I'm sharing your observations and thoughts, Dean.

About the Duometre, I was told ( in October 2009 ) that there were a few hundreds made ( à chronographe ), and my guess is that JLC wants to see this Duometre lasting quite a long time. I don't see why it would be different for the Q.L which is a mor...
this is what I want!

I love the watches. And, the good news, is that they are SO far out of my reach that I can thoroughly enjoy them without worrying about breaking the bank. That is because they are TOTALLY beyond my financial reach. So, keep them coming Nicolas! As a side ...
Well, Sancerre, getting or not getting it is not the most important.

Knowing that some Beauties exist, in this world, is already a feast. Well, it is better if you can get it, true. Pleasure is not a question of money: I can't afford an Aston, but each time I see one in the street, it makes my day. As for the Vintage, yes,...
Hmmm The one on left...

Have I seen that before? Looks familiar and still my favorite of the two. Perhaps evnof the the line. And agree the moon phase is a improved on this one. Best Christian

I have to replace my Duometre à Chronographe in platinum, which is part of the watches which have gone, sadly... The Black sister could be a great alternative, for sure. Unless I go on the Q.L, or even better, on both. Don't really know which one is ...
Very pleasurable indeed.

Absolutely awesome picture of two stunning black beauties. Interesting to note that the Chronographe is still available. The tough part is choosing one over another. Wonderful executed but one thing that bugs me is the plate 'No xxx/200' on the dial side....
Great shot..
By: ocwatching : May 20th, 2011-21:43
and you composed the shot encompassing the two most interesting parts of the dial from both pieces... Love the Chrono and admire the moonphase...ARGH..too bad my banker will not allow it! Nice one counselor!
Just beautiful!

Great shot of two lovely pieces. Do keep postin'em for us, Nic! We love'em.
The Duometre line rocks, truly.

My absolute favourite line among all the JLC families of products. There is such an interesting homogeneity on these watches! Thanks, Rahul. Best. Nicolas;
Its my favorite too Nicolas
By: RahulR : May 21st, 2011-05:10
And that is saying a lot! But alas, it is not affordable for me. Well it is, but then I would probably have to allocate my annual 'watch fund' to it, and there have been too many great pieces, haha Any chance they will do one in steel Nicolas? After all, ...
In steel, the Duometre? No, Rahul.
By: amanico : May 21st, 2011-22:36
JLC, when they released the Duometre, in 2007, clearly stated that there will not be a Duometre in any other metal than a precious one. The Perpetual Calendar you're speakingf about doesn'tg have the same level if finish and decoration, it is targetted in...

The RG Chrono has an elegance that comes from the grained dial that is umbeatable for me.....retro and modern, with presence and beauty. There was almost no reason to go for a RG QL even though its a marvel, because its a very similar watch in feelings and ...
