Geophysic models
Jan 31, 2015,11:47 AM
I hear from multiple sources, including two boutique employees, that the Geophysic limited editions are the start of a new line for Jaeger-LeCoultre of Geophysic watches. Was there any discussion of this? I believe Jaeger-LeCoultre brass have also spoken of this...
Personally, I wouldn't be surprised if there were other more complicated models in the Geophysic case (smaller, brushed sides, etc) rather than the Master. And they these bore the Geophysic name. And I further wouldn't be surprised if the current steel Geophysic became "unlimited" with only minor tweaks from the current limited edition.
Any news on this front?

This month, we'll have an eye on some of this year novelties, such as the Rendez Vous Line, and the Men's collection. If you want to know more about some specific watches, let me know... I would also like to show you a vintage piece which is historically ...

Nico, Forgive my ignorance, but it will be educational for me and others if you can do a post explaining all editions, from the first to the last. Merci, Nilo

I'd like to see a more in-depth article on the Duetto Classique Automatic, as I see this (as well as last year's men's Day/Night and this year's Boutique piece) as a forerunner of the 85th Anniversary, when Daniel Riedo said that "The Reverso will undergo...
Reverso 'Big Changes'...

So intrigued as to how and what big changes can undergo the reverso?! Do we think evolution on case design? What would we like to see? .... exciting times for all of us ;)
Evolution or Revolution?
By: cory : January 31st, 2015-11:06
Hopefully something big and innovative.... I would like to see something quite different. ;)
Answer?

It would be nice to get a little bit on an idea of what we could expect with the new creative direction and thinking around the REVERSO collection coming in 2016. That way we can prepare ourselves... especially if it is 'Radical'!
Daniel did use the word 'Radical' change....

So I would expect this could be a departure from the more traditional Reverso into a more progressive / innovative design of the Reverso case and movement. ...

the Jaeger-LeCoultre Reverso Grande Complication a Triptyque Watch... just a technical marvel. Could play and steer at it all day! JLC are truely amazing.
Seconde Centrale
By: sfoskett : February 3rd, 2015-14:34
Perhaps the 1931 Seconde Centrale is a clue to the future... It uses automatic calibre 966 with central sweep seconds in a larger case. I wonder if this is what the future holds for the Reverso: A larger case, no more "old fashioned" sub seconds, etc. Aft...

I would suspect a focus on the moon phase in a larger innovative case... but who knows.
Im laughing... such a tease!
By: cory : February 3rd, 2015-22:53
Seriously though, I do believe what we will see as new innovative Reverso and it will shock us in a good way... well those who welcome change ... im ready I think. ;)
I knew it would be crazy... and I knew I would
By: cory : February 3rd, 2015-23:24
get it out of you... JLC again exceed all my expectations in the fields of complex and innovative movements. I for one cannot wait for this crazy bird... time better fly! ;)

Well this is a relief
By: sfoskett : January 31st, 2015-12:27
since it would be an insult to buyers of the TT to offer the same watch in unlimited numbers. Perhaps he was mistaken and JLC is simply finishing up the 800 and not producing new ones.
