I call this tobacco grey because it has a light brown to a charcoal grey hue in different light. 2 tone makes me smile coming back in fashion from what I read. I like it on these neo vintage pieces. Modern, production pieces I may hesitate.

The laureato olimpico feel special. I have many watches and somehow, the neo vintage pieces always give me that extra little smile over any of my production pieces.

It’s interesting that the internal subdials are copper instead of the usual gold. But i like its hue so much more.

The copper subdials makes this feel even more special. I think they match the gold color to the subdials. Nice attention to detail. So th nother version of the 2 tone have hello gold. I also like the full steel version of the laureato olimpico. They have ...

Are going up in price from what I can see. I’m so glad to see this appreciation of GP from this era. As for current production pieces, we know the challenges that GP has brought upon itself by their distribution practices and lack of control or ADs.

I really encourage friends in our group to consider a nice 40 mm laureato-olimpico. Look on chrono24 and such. The Olympics are coming up … 😉 ...
