That the 1/6th and the seconds were resetting to 0 , that certainly allows for high precision and I see what you say about the Moonphase, a chrono makes much more sense here. In this Moonphase version you can see the time passing precisely, however you cannot take precise measures of time as you cannot stop the hand.
Nevertheless the watch is a stunner no doubt and I am seriously considering chasing one. thanks for your input, for sure Jaeger is ensuring that the movement is working finely, I was thinking that the friction generated by the 1/6th hand speed could be a maintenance concern on the long-run, but true is that the hairspring is there oscillating extremely fast, yet lasting. I guess the mantainance periods need to be closely followed though.
Have you made up your mind on which model you like yet? I had the occasion to try on the black chrono this week and liked it quite a lot, partly because the black dial wears smaller than the white version.
Good weekend!

Two dream watches together: JLC Duometre UTT / Patek 5110P.
By: amanico : July 31st, 2014-09:00
Two watches which express travels in a different way, one being one of the most charmful, if not THE most charmful, World Time, the Patek the other being THE new milestone in terms of Travel Time, the JLC. One is 5 mm bigger than the other, the other is a...
Two great travel time pieces.

Just when I think I'm partial to the PP, I see the backside of the Duometre and I'm smitten; but then I see the classic elegance of the PP world time and the beautiful guilloche and I'm likewise swooning over the PP. Would be really hard to choose between...
Yes, this is the Champions League of Travel watches, here.

I am in serious trouble, as I want three Duometres, and I don't know with which one to start... But at least I have this Patek... I will show it to you, next time, my friend, but be prepared to get some severe treatment! ;) Best, Dr Mamadu.
It hurts as if it was the picture of an ex GF that broke with you!

Last winter I was in Paris and went to the JLC boutique at Place Vendome (no.7 -hence the red number 7 in the date) just to try on this watch, I was obsessed with it! Plan was to buy it 50:50 with my father but we didn't get it finally...and still thinkin...
The duometre is surely also a great great piece

but I definitely vote for that very special guilloche, for this indescribable blue grey dial color, for these sensual round shape shoulder flanks... And on my "chicken's wrist" the 5110P fits anyhow much better. Best, Mike
He He He !

Yes I know what you mean ;-) In that case it could be 5110P + 5070G LOL ! JLC great too, but other models for me then (I was at the boutique not later than this morning). I'll tell you about my doubts but will take the advantage of the just today started ...
Duometre Moonphase Enamel
By: Alex83 : August 5th, 2014-10:21
Hi, catching up this old thread (not sure if a new one should be started in these cases?); I am liking the Duometre quite a lot but have a doubt regarding the 1/6th of a second display; is that hand continuously rotating while the watch is winded or is it...

The A Chronograph WG black dial / The UTT White Gold / The QL WG Enamel Dial... Honestly, I am lost, since I don't have enough funds to get the three of them. But I am saying to myself that I can't go wrongf with any of them. So, no pressure we'll see how...
Yes, tricky one!

Totally different look and functionality but within same family! The price gaps are also quite wide. I need a Duometre too...
