Deep Sea Challenge.

Oct 08, 2011,20:57 PM

Over the weekend, a group of intrepid bon vivants decided to risk their life and limbs and head out over the South China Seas to the deepest part of the ocean, in an effort to test the depth rating of their JLC dive watches. Everything was well planned beforehand and the appropriate sustenance was prepared and served on board the vessel to enable the participants to endure the arduous journey ahead. It was a tremendous team effort with sincere thanks to the crew of JLC and PuristSPro. Was it a success? Did the dive go according to plan? A full account of the expedition will be forthcoming, so be patient. smile

A little preview of what’s to come:

All set to go.
All set to go.

Departing from the fragrant harbour.

Stay tuned! smile

My biggest regret is that I couldn't make it last summer... I would have loved posting some " in situ " pictures about this pair of watches. Next year, maybe? But in the meantime, I'm impatient to see YOUR pics, my friend. When you want! Nicolas.

There were a team of professional photographers..

to record the event. So hopefully the "good photos" will be out soon. Worth the wait Nico. Pity your DSA is not "waterproof" ! Best Fernando

Sounds like an incredible voyage!

that one of the participants wore for the occasion. Will this survive the depths of the ocean? He will definitely need a heavier weight belt as this thing is super light! Beautiful, nevertheless! Whereas this one is more appropriate methinks. F...

Seriously? Are you one of them?

Wow... Can't wait to see the result. Yup, Centigraphe is super light, yet very beautiful, one of a few wearable ones for me from the brand.... Be careful out there! Ken

We all made it back in one piece Ken ;) [nt]

I have a similar activity coming up this weekend with another watch brand but may just have to say no to them now that my home is about to be affected by serious flooding. I hope I will still have electricity when you post the full report so I can enjoy i...

I just hope that no one went deeper than 100M with their DSA tributes... ;-) But seriously, this reminds me of the time JLC strapped a MC Diving GMT to an ROV and sent it down 1080M just for the hell of it. Or that other time they lent an MCDC to a Purist...

Some goodies..
